applications

from a window to a whole wall.

Match the graphic, material and installation environment before choosing the production setup.

signs, banners and display graphics

The Australian page describes applications including posters, banners, decals and point-of-purchase displays. Consider viewing distance, installation and finishing when choosing the artwork and media.

window graphics and décor

Suitable films, wallpapers and other roll materials create options for interiors and glazing. Check the material supplier's installation guidance and test the intended adhesive, laminate and removal process.

media & ink

build the effect into the material.

Choose the roll media and ink configuration as part of the design.

CMYK or CMYK with white

Ricoh Australia lists four-colour and four-colour-plus-white configurations. White-layer work has different productivity from standard colour printing, so specify the required effect before comparing output rates.

roll width and printable width

The maximum media width is 1,625 mm; maximum printable width is 1,615 mm. Allow for margins and finishing rather than treating those two figures as interchangeable.

Application illustration; not a production sample.
production workflow

take the graphic through to installation.

Allow for printing, trimming, any protective finish and preparing the installation kit.

compare the right print modes

The Australian table lists 46.7 m²/h in outdoor standard mode, 25 m²/h in indoor standard mode and 7.7 m²/h for white-layer printing. Choose the mode for the quality and effect required.

repeat jobs with confidence

Keep a record of the media, profile and print settings used for an approved graphic. Recheck a sample when material batches or finishing processes change, especially for items that must match an earlier installation.
