For the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), the priority was a coordinated print environment that supported its campuses and central print room, with dependable service and equipment suited to each task.
A solution built around the print team
UniSC’s print team wanted high-quality output, practical finishing options and a more consistent support experience. Sustainability was also an important consideration when choosing equipment.
Working with the university and Ricoh, ion delivered a Print and Imaging as a Service solution that combined multifunction devices for everyday use with production equipment for the central print room.
The rollout included about 170 Ricoh devices, including three production print units. Staff training helped the team make use of new finishing features, while workflow improvements reduced manual handling.
